Operations Manager (HR and Accounting Experience Required)
JPI has an opening for an Operations Manager with fifteen or more years Human Resources experience and three or more years Accounting experience. This position will be responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources function, along with administration and management of Accounting duties within Quickbooks.
Human Resource Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department.
- Participates in development goals and objectives.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records;
- Monitors the performance evaluation program.
- Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook; performs benefits administration.
- Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Conducts recruitment effort including new-employee orientations and employee relations counseling.
- Establishes and maintains department records and reports.
Accounting Responsibilities:
- Process AP, AR, payroll.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Posting and reconciling journal entries.
- Month end close activities.
- Depreciation.
Experience:
- Minimum Experience: 15 years HR experience and 3 years Accounting experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to plan and meet deadlines required.
- Must be computer literate; proficiency with MS Office required, experience with Paychex a plus.
- Quickbooks experience.
- Confidentiality required for processing of employee payroll.
- Preferred Certification: SPHR or PHR (SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP)
