    About the Program:

    Discuss the employers responsibility in Safety and Health program development, implementation, recordkeeping, enforcement/ accountability as well as what programs will be needed by employers and resources available for employers to stay in compliance with the OSHA Act.

    Learning Objectives: 

    Where to find resources to stay in compliance with OSHA as well as what is needed by an employer to keep their employees safe and free of any recognized hazards in the work place.


    About the Speaker:

    Nathanial J. Griffin is a Safety and Health Consultant with the Virginia Department of Labor and
    Industry. In this role, Nathanial works with small businesses helping to ensure that procedures
    and practices are up to the standards set forth by OSHA. Nathanial mainly focuses on the
    Health related issues of the OSHA standards such as exposures in the workplace and from
    monitoring for small businesses as well as assisting in developing the appropriate safety and
    health measures to ensure employee safety.

    Nathanial supports OSHA in its vision and tasks to keep employee’s safe and allowing them to
    go home to their families every night as well as making a business safe and successful.
    Nathanial is an Industrial Hygienist with the Department of Labor and Industry and is working on
    his degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University.
