Family Caregivers in the Workplace; A Look at their Needs

There is a large growing number of unpaid Family Caregivers in the workplace today. They are balancing caring for an older adult parent, grandparent, spouse or child with functional needs. They are executives, managers and front-line workers from Millennials to Boomers. They are most frequently silent about this role to management due to the many interruptions it can cause. Many progressive companies are creating a Lifespan Culture where Family Caregivers can be honored and supported with the benefits specific to their needs. Robin Weeks is a corporate coach and trainer of leaders. She is the Founder of My Pivotal Point a coaching and leadership training company working with small to mid-size businesses to develop and grow leaders for corporate growth. She became a Certified Caregiving Consultant in 2019 after spending 6.5 years caring for her Mother and meeting many mangers in her leadership training classes entering into the role of Family Caregiver. My Pivotal Point, Caring for Caregivers educates and informs caregivers and companies so that they can effectively provide care while maintaining their own physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
